TMG Casters Node 1: Server Breach

At 20:02 EST on March 8, 2025, Typical Media Group’s Azura Node 1 experienced a security breach. The incident involved a user who had previously been removed from our partner website, RadioCast. Following their removal, this individual managed to exploit access permissions and subsequently revoked staff permissions on the AzuraCast platform.

Is my data safe?

Yes, your data remains secure. This incident was determined to be an attack that exploited permissions, and after thorough review, there is no evidence of any data leaks. However, as a precautionary measure, we strongly recommend that all users update their passwords and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on their AzuraCast accounts. Taking these steps will help enhance security in case a similar situation arises in the future.

Next Steps

As a result of this incident, lower-ranked members and even trusted users will no longer be granted Super Administrator privileges on AzuraCast. This decision has been made strictly for security reasons to prevent similar issues in the future. Moving forward, only higher-ranking staff members and specifically selected users will have access to this privilege. For security purposes, the identities of users with this role will not be disclosed.

We sincerely apologize for this situation and any inconvenience it may have caused. Please rest assured that we are taking all necessary steps to prevent such occurrences in the future and to maintain the safety and integrity of our platform.
